Snow in Scotland

Snow in Scotland

I have always had a love/hate relationship with the snow. See, if I have to step out and run errands in it.. I hate it! If I get to go on walks (wrapping up warm obv!) or sit in my house all nice and warm, while having views like this.. then I love it!!

However, recently I have been thinking about how much Scotland is for me – it will always be home. When I graduate from University, do I want a life where I can’t go out and enjoy the outdoors as much as I could in other places? Can other countries offer a better lifestyle? Million dollar questions are popping up left, right and centre.

Scotland is rich, vibrant and beautiful. I guess I am writing this not only to share its beauty, but for myself.. helping me decide if for sure, one day I want to move away. Who knows, maybe I will try another place out for a year and come back.

I live in – what I would call – a town that’s a busy wee place, however, others may call it the countryside. The Scottish Borders are known to be beautiful and proud. My wonder to see my life in other places may take over at times, but, it never forgets the picturesque little place of home.

I guess my questions are what many often think. Will I be happier in a place like Australia, where many ship their lives of to every day? Will I love the lifestyle? Will I miss the familiar sights of a place I have left and came back to everyday for the majority of my life? One thing is for sure, I would miss my family (they would get free holidays, what’s not to love!).

The crisp air that devours the whole garden on a brisk winters morning (I smell snow, I just finished watching Gilmore Girls, sorry not sorry). The idyllic pictures will be replaced by others.

I am one for delving into the future and wondering where my life will take me. Writing this short but sweet post, I have come to the conclusion that I should live in the moment. Right now, I can’t move away, so what’s the point in thinking about it?! I mean, look at where I live at the moment, these pictures don’t do it justice.
